Hobo's Lullaby
Words and Music by Goebel Reeves

Go to sleep, you weary hobo,
Let the towns drift slowly by,
Can't you hear the steel rails humming
That's the hobo's lullaby.

I know your clothes are torn and ragged,
And your hair is turning gray,
Lift your head and smile at trouble,
You'll find peace and rest someday.

Now don't you worry 'bout tomorrow,
Let tomorrow come and go,
Tonight you're in a nice warm boxcar,
Safe from all that wind and snow.

I know the police cause you trouble,
They cause trouble everywhere,
But when you die and go to Heaven
You'll find no policemen there.

So go to sleep, you weary hobo,
Let the towns drift slowly by,
Listen to the steel rails humming
That's a hobo's lullaby.

Sweet and Low

Traditional, Written By: Alfred, Lord Tennyson
Music By: Joseph Barnby, Copyright Unknown

Sweet and low, sweet and low,
Wind of the western sea,
Low, low, breathe and blow,
Wind of the western sea!
Over the rolling waters go,
Come from the dying moon, and blow,
Blow him again to me,
While my little one,
While my pretty one,
Sleeps.

Sleep and rest, sleep and rest,
Father will come to thee soon;
Rest, rest, on mother's breast,
Father will come to thee soon;
Father will come to his babe in the nest,
Silver sails all out of the west,
Under the silver moon;
Sleep my little one,
Sleep my pretty one,
Sleep.

Hush a Bye

Hush-a-bye, don't you cry, go to sleep you little baby.
When you wake you shall have all the pretty little horses.
Dapples and greys, pintos and bays, all the pretty little horses.

Way down yonder, in the meadow,
Poor little baby cryin, "mama";
Birds and the butterflies flutter round his eyes,
Poor little baby cryin' "mama".
